Stuart Fraser-Thomson Foundation

The Stuart Fraser-Thomson foundation is committed to raising funds in order to fund mobility solutions for terminally ill patients. These are people who prefer to spend their final weeks in their own home surrounded by family and friends, rather than have to go into hospice because they have mobility issues and are unable to move around the house.

We provide the funds to Ashgate Hospice who have a team of dedicated staff working in the Peak District and North Derbyshire area. The patients are assessed and funds are released to help pay for stair lifts and ramps, greatly enhancing the quality of life for the patient and their carers for the remainder of their lives.

Stuart's Story

The charity was founded to provide support to families that struggle either financially or through lack of knowledge of what support is out there for them.  We had a similar experience when Stuart was diagnosed and the lack of information available to the family was limited.
